Cache clustering

Post by Bumble »

Maybe I’m the only one that does this, but if you load a large-ish (20,000+) Cache database, moving around & zooming on the map can get very unresponsive. Makes sense as a lot of stuff to show on the screen. What I have found is that there seems a good workaround that hopefully l4c can implement. Clustering large groups of caches within a certain distance depending on zoom level. This significantly reduces the amount that needs to be show on the screen at a given time and makes it much easier to use a larger cache database without freezing up the map.

I do something like that ....
I Export gmx files through GSAK ... And Limit the amount to e.g. 4000 Caches sorted by distance
