App says I'm Basic Member, but I'm Premium.

I was refreshing my folders of caches last night when after a while I received the error message shown in the photo. It suddenly thinks I am only a Basic Member. I checked online and GC.com shows I am still premium. Also, using the official geocaching app it lets me see premium member caches. So the problem must be with L4C app.

I tried fixing by Remove Authentication, then Authenticate. I also tried "Refresh". It still says I am basic member when I try to search for a cache.

I don't know if it was app problem or GC.com problem, but it is working again after only 18 hours.

I had this issue also by another user last days.. There are two causes for this error raised by geocaching.com:
  • You are a basic member and downloaded more than 3 caches.
  • You are a premium member and downloaded more than 6000 caches.

I think it´s the last one.. The 6000 caches per day for premium users is shared for all API applications. So if you done a big data refresh in GSAK, iCaching or L4C you can come to this limitation.

I will test the member status and show a different error message in the future.
